A Week in the Life: Vlog #1

I’m so excited to have started vlogging on YouTube! It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for so long and now I’m taking the time to start, just in time for my Eurotrip next month! I also really like that vlogs are a different way to show you guys what my life is like through audio and visual, because I find that blog posts are just worlds different!

My apologies for crappy video/audio quality because I was experimenting between the iPhone and my Fujifilm X-A2. I’ve decided to invest in a vlogging camera which I’m buying tomorrow. I’m so excited! :D

I hope you guys enjoy the vlog, and I’m so happy to finally start a new chapter in blogging — I hope you stick around for the changes because I would really love it if you would!

Stay wild, stay curious, keep exploring. I love you, my Wildlings! <3

This is a really great way to get to know you better! :) What Vlogging camera did you get? I’ve been meaning to do something like this, inspired by “Meet The Lowes” on Youtube but I don’t have the time for it, and now that Jorge is leaving, no one’s going to edit for me. haha. Keep this going Camie, I’m sure many will enjoy to see them as much as I did.

    • Reply Camie Juan 15 September 2015 at 3:30 pm

I enjoyed it so much especially all the parts that had food which is like 60% of the video, lol. Keep it coming!

    • Reply Camie Juan 15 September 2015 at 3:30 pm

Hahaha! Gab and I ate A LOT last week. I didn’t even record everything yet. Haha

  • Reply Aneth 15 September 2015 at 3:10 pm

I love this, Camie! You are so adorable. I admire you for still being yourself and not shy vlogging in public haha. Can’t wait for the next one!!

    • Reply Camie Juan 15 September 2015 at 3:35 pm

Thanks Aneth! Yeah I usually have a “I don’t care” attitude now. I think I first realized to step out of my comfort zone was when I first visited Europe and NO ONE gave a shit what I did, if I stopped in the middle of the road to take photos or take videos of myself, no one cares if I’m wearing clothes that dont match, etc etc. It’s really just here. Filipinos can be judgemental and they stare a lot. So now I know it’s NOT me, it’s them. So I ignore it. I have footage that didn’t make the cut for the video, but basically we were at a mall and I was filming, and I was on the escalator, and you’ll see these Filipinas staring at me at the opposite side. I looked back at them, just to tell Gab that people would stare and I was laughing about it, and they stopped looking at me when I looked at them. Anywhere else, no one would give a shit. It’s really here lang talaga, so I learned to ignore it! :)

      • Reply Aneth 16 September 2015 at 2:29 am

I really find it embarrassing and awkward to take video snaps/talk in front of my phone in public. Sometimes I wish this country would be like USA or any other countries. Oh well, I wish I can pull an idgaf attitude, too!!!

  • Reply Daria 15 September 2015 at 5:02 pm

Camie, this is so good! I really loved watching it, loved the way you edited it :) x

I totally love it, Miss Camie! I was smiling while watching the whole video. I like your voice (yeeee, super TV Host like) It so awesome to see you in motion and the ‘I don’t care’ attitude while filming. Moooorrrreee! :)

    • Reply Camie Juan 15 September 2015 at 9:59 pm

heehee :3 I’m filming again this week so hopefully there will be more by next week :D

  • Reply Hani Lutfi 15 September 2015 at 9:36 pm

Hi Camie :) This was amazing! I’ve always wanted to try doing this weekly or even daily vlog kinda thing but I’m really camera shy (even with pictures) and my life is SOOOOOO mundane like, it will be filled with just me to and fro to school! I decided to start doing a weekly life update thing though but I keep on forgetting to snap ’em pics! :(

    • Reply Camie Juan 15 September 2015 at 10:00 pm

I know what you mean! My week was particularly eventful so I had a lot to take videos of… But I guess it’s also a challenge to step out of mundane routines and try something new or out of the ordinary every now and then! :)

  • Reply Samille 15 September 2015 at 10:07 pm

Keep ’em coming, Camie! I’m excited to see more of your A Week in Life: Vlogs <3

  • Reply Trish 16 September 2015 at 12:05 am

You’ve gotten better at this! I’m excited for your Eurotrip vlogs now! It’s cute that your readers (or viewers?) get to see more of Gab, too!

  • Reply Tina 16 September 2015 at 2:11 am

Lovely to see your weekly vlog & I just realised how much I miss Manila! Should travel back at some point.

  • Reply Raven 16 September 2015 at 9:04 am

That thing you were talking about while doing the nose strips thing might be just sebaceous filament.

  • Reply Tine 16 September 2015 at 9:17 am

Camie! You’re so cool!!! I love your vlog and I’m expecting for the next one especially during your trips <3

If I may ask, what do you use to edit your vids? And what kind of camera did you use here?

  • Reply Bianca 16 September 2015 at 10:42 am

I love love love it <3 it kinda reminds me of CutiePieMarzia's vlogs as well. I hope you don't stop vlogging :3

  • Reply Arianne 16 September 2015 at 12:43 pm

I enjoyed watching this! More weekly vlogs, Camie!! :)

  • Reply Mei 16 September 2015 at 12:45 pm

I don’t watch videos that often but I’m interested to see vlogs of bloggers because I always wonder what they do, especially the full-time bloggers hehe I wish I can also be confident in vlogging but I’m not really good in speaking in front of the camera and I feel awkward to see myself in a video haha but this is a good alternative for Life Lately blogposts :)

You made me miss UST! The last time I went there was last year when I claimed my alumni card. It feels so nice to just hang out there. :)

I like the part that you are rewarding yourself with food. My boyriend and I were like that. Same thoughts! Before, we can’t affords above Php 200 meals haha but now we can eat in fancy restos because we deserve it! It feels so fulfilling to reward yourself for your hard work! Hehe

Hope to see more of your vlogs! And oh, Gab is already on Beautiful Strangers! May accent pa din sya sa Tagalog lines hehe

P.S. Sorry if ever I sent a comment twice, there was a server hangup error when I tried to submit my comment a while ago so I had to comment again. Hehe

You’re really good at vlogging Camie! I bet you enjoyed editing it as well. I used to vlog on this app called storie cuz it’s easier but I got tired. Youtube is more flexible.

  • Reply caealensonorin 16 September 2015 at 10:31 pm

Keep doing what you’re doing. You da bomb.

  • Reply Chinny Chian 16 September 2015 at 11:41 pm

Yes Camie! Pls do continue BC I’m a huge fan and I love learning stuff from you like nice places to go, hair, skin and all about those good stuff! Now I know better than to have a painful facial treatment and just do a diy face mask/nose pore sttips on my t-zone and chin. All the love, Chinny

I enjoyed watching this, Camie :) I used to think that you are a fancy girl, but seeing you talk like this on video made me realize that you are simply a natural, sunshine-y person.

  • Reply 18 September 2015 at 10:35 am

You two are so adorable!! <3 Ate Camie, may I ask what camera are you planning to buy? :)

  • Reply Ellee Galang 18 September 2015 at 6:57 pm

You two are cutest human couples online. Create more videos Ate Camie! You are doing something beautiful! :D

  • Reply Darlyn Herradura 20 September 2015 at 4:45 am

I loved this video, Camie. This video is so real compared to other vlogs I’ve seen, especially near the end. LOL. Also, I had to pause it several times to stare at your outfits, because they were always on point. Looking forward to more videos.

  • Reply Paoline 20 September 2015 at 7:44 pm

I loved watching this Camie, because I feel like I got to know you better. You and Gab are such a fashionable couple! :)

BTW, did you get to have flu vaccine shots? My sister is a doctor and we managed to get those shots at around 500 – 700 with administration — waaay cheaper than when bought at any drugstore.

  • Reply Mae 21 September 2015 at 10:16 pm

When is your next vlog? I can’t wait!!

    • Reply Camie Juan 21 September 2015 at 10:16 pm

Hey Camie. You look really cute btw! Anyway i enjoyed your blog! Just wondering why you wanna get another camera? Is the x-a2 not that good for filming?

  • Reply Clara 23 September 2015 at 8:47 pm

Hi, Camie! I just want to ask a question (because I can’t reach you through twitter bc i’m too shy to ask and I have no choice but to comment here) I have this guy friend and it’s his birthday next week, I’m in a rush to buy a gift for him and I don’t want to buy him a shirt or anything bc it’s too mainstream. I want something special, any suggestions? :) If you’d comment back, that would be a great help! thank you!
