Couple Tees by GTW by SM: Photos + Behind The Scenes

Last month Gab and I shot two layouts for Girls Teen Wear by SM for their new line of Couple Tees, just in time for the love month. We modeled with another couple who are (fashion) bloggers, Seph & Trice. It was a really fun shoot, and I liked how we were able to just be ourselves in the photos. I think the production was done well, from the photographer (BJ Pascual), and the makeup artist (Mayesa delos Santos).

This is the first professional shoot Gab and I are doing as a couple. I was a little nervous because I’m not naturally a cheesy type of person… And you know, love month + couple tees = cheese. But Gab actually made everything so much more easy going for me, especially because he started to just act natural around me and then our dynamic as a couple just naturally showed and was captured on camera.

Anyway, here’s a few BTS photos:

Photo 1-15-15, 11 47 42 AM My makeup midway, and I honestly wouldn’t have minded if we stopped at this. I was really liking how Mayesa was going my makeup. Confession time: I usually don’t like how some makeup artists do makeup… Especially the gays (no offense to them!), because I noticed that 80% of the time if my makeup is done by a gay guy, it’s so thick that I end up looking like a drag version of myself. :\

That lipstick is on point!! If you don’t mind me asking what shade and brand did she use? :) I’ve also noticed that shorts seems to be your favorite. I noticed you wear it in almost all of the pictures. :)

I asked her but she mixed colors :( So I’m not sure either!! HAHA As for my shorts, yeah my favorite pairs are my high-waist denims! I have one from H&M and American Eagle :D

There’s nothing new about how makeup artists do makeup. Though you say it’s thick, it actually looks light on your photos. Btw, you look cute together! I like the ‘Im hers & Im his’ layout.

I’m actually talking about other makeup artists who pile on makeup so thick that I end up not looking like myself. It has happened in other shoots for magazine features and I would request them not to choose the photos that don’t look like me at all (because of the makeup) and they agree. The makeup artist for this shoot however knew how thick to pile on the makeup so when the photos come out I would still look like myself :)

I have the same thoughts about make up done by gays (nothing against them, either!). My cousin joined a pageant a few weeks ago and I was worried because her make up artist is gay. I felt so bad for not knowing how to use make up properly so that I could do her face myself. She ended up wearing make up that’s so thick, she almost scared me (I swear I stepped back a little) when I saw her after the make up session.

Anyway, I think you and Gad should do more shoots like this. You guys are perfect and your ‘cheesiness’ is so natural! It’s so fun to see. :)

I think everyone will agree that you guys are adorable AND you just made something so corny look extra fab.

Now I want my own couple-y shirt. Haha! <3

Your hair color is gorgeous! It’s gray and brown and purple I don’t even understand anymore. HAHAHA. Where did you have it done? Or if you colored it yourself, please please please share a tutorial! :D

Hi Camie! I hope you don’t mind me asking. What lipstick brand and color are you using?
