Life Lately: Plans & Some (Minor) Changes

life-lately-nov-2016

It’s no secret that I’ve been slowly moving away from blogging regularly and entering a new platform in documenting my life, which is YouTube. But here’s what’s been up in life lately:

  1. YouTube content creating and finally slowly getting through my travel vlogs. I’m the worst. It’s been a year!
  2. Seeing more of my friends and socializing… something I rarely do as an INFP
  3. Birthday dinner with Jeline, whom I forget is like a baby sister to me. She’s just way mature for her age it amazes me lol
  4. Eating a fancy dinner (Nikei Cuisine) at Shangri-La The Fort, thanks to Aly
  5. Been eating so much I actually did gain lots of weight
  6. Gab’s non-existent no-shave November — that photo above is the last I had with his beard /tears
  7. Been feeling the vibe of different eras lately — mostly 70’s and 90’s. What a jump though.
  8. Making plans for my vacation this December with Gab
  9. Working with great brands (I seriously have been loving the products I’ve been getting from Cabin Zero/Elecom. So useful for travels)

Confession time: I’m getting a bit bored of blogging. I probably should apologize, but I’m not really sorry. Blogging has been in my life for more than 10 years. I think it’s normal to reach that burnout point, and it’s been here for a year. The weird thing is, I have all these plans for future blog posts and when faced with a challenge of creating a blog post themed after a client I enjoy writing them (especially travel themed sponsored posts) — so I know deep down that blogging/writing is still something I enjoy/am good at; but I just needed a change and that’s where creating more content on YouTube excited me again.

I think my main problem is, I want to do too many things and I always think there isn’t enough time, so I try to prioritize things but I  end up overwhelmed and unmotivated; which I’ve heard is true for most creatives. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I’m eternally grateful for the opportunities and the support I’ve gotten on this blog. I just feel a little guilty wanting some kind of change sometimes.

I hope you guys understand. Oh, and I love you all. Thank you for sticking around with me always.

Sometimes, I get tired of reading blogs/articles too. Hehe. And when that happens I go to YouTube and just watch videos. I follow you on YouTube so no problem if you don’t post here often. I’m still a fan. ❤

Aww! Thanks for supporting me on both platforms either way, Glaiza ❤️ You’s a real MVP! *gives you a cupcake*

I love your videos but I think I miss your writing too! <3

Yeah, I was reading one of my long articles before and realized I only get the motivation to write when I’m extremely emotional about something in my life! HAHA I’ll try to get back to writing. I think I can juggle both vlogging and blogging, I just need to manage my time better :)

“Don’t ever apologies for chasing your dreams.” I read that somewhere hehe, can’t wait for your future vlogs!

      Thanks Johna! ❤️

I’ve always enjoyed reading written content primarily because the internet service in this country makes it a bit difficult to keep watching vlogs but also because for me, it feels more heartfelt. But I love watching your vlogs too, as much as I like reading great posts, I also like watching well made videos and yours truly are. I think I’ve commented this a couple of times on your videos already but your color grading is top notch! I hope you won’t anymore feel guilty of wanting to change, it’s only normal to want to change if you want to grow. :)

I love everything that you create, Camie. From blogging to vlogging, all of them are well curated. You don’t need to feel sorry because either way we will read and watch whatever you post! Keep doing what you love, Camie! <3

Don’t ever apologize for something you passionately want to do. I’d love to see more YouTube videos! :D You and other YouTubers inspire me to vlog and I hope we’ll stumble upon on YouTube in the future, that is if I’m confident enough to do vlogs lol. Anyways, Have fun with Gab this December!

Oh, and btw, didn’t know you’re an INFP like me cos you sound more outgoing but I guess personality depends on the situation, the people you’re with and other factors.

    Good luck! <3

Loving your vlogs too!!! and I think transitioning from blog to vlog is part of growing! I think the word is EVOLUTION which is a good thing, right?! (Though I’m still waiting for your blog posts because we are not allowed to watch videos in the office, hahaha!)

I kinda get how how you feel about wanting to do so many things with such limited time. I end up tired and unmotivated as well. Been a follower for years now. You do you, Camie.

“I think my main problem is, I want to do too many things and I always think there isn’t enough time, so I try to prioritize things but I end up overwhelmed and unmotivated; which I’ve heard is true for most creatives.”

This is so relevant to me, and I’ve seen this happen to my roommate who is a creative as well. Working for yourself is actually harder than it looks and sounds. Haha. People often think that freelancers have it easy because they can work anywhere, at anytime, but it’s quite the contrary! Because our job is not an 8-hour shift, we tend to pile up work because “we have it easy” then we end up working 12-18 hours haha.

I know how you feel, and whatever you do, just know that you have so many readers and friends who will support you! <3 Just keep it going!

“I think my main problem is, I want to do too many things and I always think there isn’t enough time, so I try to prioritize things but I end up overwhelmed and unmotivated; which I’ve heard is true for most creatives.” — I couldn’t agree more! This is me too and it gets really frustrating sometimes…:(

Your YouTube channel is pretty awesome so with no doubt I’m sure you can also be successful on that platform. :)
I can’t wait to see more of your videos!

I love your writing much but I do enjoy your vlog as well! Will always support you no matter what kind of platform it is (blog, insta, youtube), but to be honest reading your blog is my favorite!

Awww but I’ve been following you for years I enjoy your vlogs though. Your blogs cheered me up during my teenage angst years! LOL

Hi Krissy. Thanks, that’s really nice of you to say :) Thank you <3 It's messages like this that keep me going and remind me why I love doing what I do, aside from just doing it for myself. Have a nice day! <3 (and oh, thanks for sticking around since Tumblr days :D)
