A few weeks ago in another Olay blog post, I talked about the summer heat affecting our skin, and how taking refuge in our air conditioned homes doesn’t necessarily help the condition of our skin either – it dries out our skin! I actually learned this fact the day I wrote about the new Olay Body Wash and have since then noticed how true it was. I’ve experienced dry skin in cold weather when I travelled to colder climate countries years ago, but it never occurred to me that the AC unit could have the same effect on my skin. No wonder my skin was always so dry! It didn’t help that most of the soaps I would use when I’d bathe contributed to the dry skin I would experience.
Last March 28, I attended the Olay Moisture That Lasts press event and consumer swap at Robinsons Place Manila. The event was graced with press, bloggers and the ever so beautiful and flawless Olay Ambassador, Bea Alonzo, who I got to meet when I participated in the consumer swap… Which was my favourite part of the event!
Bea Alonzo greeting me, and me too shy to make eye contact? Haha
I put my soap in, which was a whitening soap Im not a fan of, pressed the button and…
Out comes my Olay Body Wash!
Photo-op with Bea Alonzo is in order. Her gorgeousness is just… I cannot even begin to comprehend.

I’ve been using the Olay products even way before the events. Olay was kind enough to send me some samples to try and experience the results myself. Initially, I didn’t see a big difference. I think it took me a week to really notice the my skin feeling more moisturized compared to before and after using the body wash.
Before using Olay, I used a body soap I purchased from an online shop that claimed it had moisturizing effects and was suitable for dry skin. It also claimed to be organic. Unfortunately, I was still experiencing dry skin even after use of said “organic moisturizing soap”. After using Olay for a few days, I noticed my skin didn’t feel thirsty after my bath. I also didn’t feel the need to put lotion on after each shower.
The new Olay Body Wash Outlast Collection lathers and spreads easily onto your skin, especially with the use of a loofa. You don’t need a lot of product to get full body coverage. It has a nice semi-strong smell, but I would say the scent is just right, not too overwhelming or too powerful. After washing, it also leaves a scent trail on your skin, which is quite nice will lasts for hours.
Below is some information on the new Olay Body Wash Moisture Outlast Collection that might be useful to you if you’re thinking of purchasing for yourself:
Would I recommend the new Olay Body Wash collection to be a part of your everyday shower regimen? Definitely. I’ve experienced the difference myself, and I’m honestly not just saying that. I even asked my boyfriend, Gab, if he noticed a difference in my skin when I deliberately soaped myself with the Olay body wash on my right arm but left the other arm untouched. He had no prior knowledge of my experiment when I asked him which arm felt softer to the touch, his verdict: left arm is smooth but the right arm is smoother. I invite you to try it out and see for yourself too by switching to the new Olay body wash too! You can join the ongoing promo even though you missed the March 28 swap event and get a chance to win a 1-year worth of Olay Body Wash supply!
