The Happy List: Vol. 24

the happy listThe little and big things that make me happy lately…

  1. Finally getting a lap desk
  2. Itinerary planning with Gab for October
  3. Staying in bed all day but still being 100% productive
  4. Seeing my family again
  5. Steak & lobster lunch after the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight, something to heal our wounds
  6. Meditating with my aunts, my sister Cat & Kimi.
  7. “Yours was the strongest message. You know what it was? You can have anything you want, you just have to ask for it. And believe that you deserve it.” — My Aunt Eileen after our 15 minute meditation and the energy she felt about me. I nearly cried.
  8. Getting an offer you can’t refuse, and it being in such perfect timing
  9. Another travel opportunity + chance to apply for a US tourist visa
  10. Working with a magazine (Candy Mag) I grew up reading as a teenager
  11. Quiet time on my own
  12. Staying up late getting totally lost in Reddit
  13. Making plans and seeing them through
  14. Skincare products that really work
  15. Homemade sandwiches
  16. Having halo-halo again after what feels like ages
  17.  Post-its
  18. Fast & reliable WiFi which is a scarcity in this country
  19. Anything marbled
  20. Working from an AC room, the Metro Manila heat is unforgiving these days

I know, I talk about travel way too much nowadays but I can’t help it. It’s been a dream since I was a little girl and now I’m working towards making it happen, and it’s happening one day at a time. I’ve been invited by the Guam Visitors Bureau to join them on the first week of June for their annual music festival! I’m so excited! My visa interview is next week, so please do pray that everything goes smoothly and that I hopefully get granted 10 years because the visa fee did cost a lot (I was saving some of that money for my UK/France visa, ya know!)

Anyway, have any of you been doing happy lists too? I’d love to read them. They always make me smile :)

I hope your visa application goes well, Camie! Your aunt’s right. You just have to believe that you deserve it and things will go your way hihi <3

Post-its are the absolute best! (insert post-it blogpost here:

I’m so excited for you and your travels! Isn’t it so wonderful though when life gets the timing right for so many things. Reminds me of the scene from The Office where Dwight says, “The Schrutes have a word for when everything in a man’s life comes together perfectly. Perfectenschlag. Right now, I am in it.”

Ugh having mini desks is so vital for me! I always have one in my room and when I’m staying at my uni dorms so I can do work in bed or on the floor or sometimes I wanna eat on the bed!

I’m so happy that things are working out for you, Camie. What your Aunt said is true, not just about you but I think it applies for all of us. We can have anything we want as long as we ask for it and do something about it! I am currently coming up with a couple of projects myself but I’m still planning everything out. Meanwhile, I’m pretty content with my life and I never wanna stop feeling this way. I think what’s most important is not that we’re happy but that we’re content because you can’t be happy without being content, you know? We can’t be happy all the time because you will always trip and get some bruises but when you’re content, it makes the bruises seem like nothing at all! :)

Glad to know the little things that make you happy. I feel you with working from an AC room. The heat is killing me!

The small thing that really makes my day is every time I feel my baby squirming around my tummy. I am 4 mos. pregnant and very excited to see my baby. <3
