Lonely Planet’s Guide to Travel Writing — I just started reading this and it’s a pretty great guide book, even though I don’t plan on pursuing travel writing (yet?), I’m learning a lot when it comes to just writing about places in general. I’m hoping it’ll be useful for upcoming travel posts while still writing it the way I would normally write about travel.

Typical drafts for clients about new products in the market that I like and the brands would want to introduce to you!

Jazz music. <3 Normally, I wouldn’t mind the usual noise at a cafe, but today three guys are sitting in a corner table talking loudly about a game they’re playing on their game devices and I just had to block them out with music on Spotify.

T H I N K I N G
This week’s work schedule, going home for a few days and Wanderland Music Fest on Saturday!!!

S M E L L I N G
Something sweet, something garlic-y, something caffeinated. Press Cafe has all kinds of smells.

My taxes withheld by clients weren’t so damn huge. I’d imagine my taxes for 2015 will hit negative again and the government would owe me even bigger. I’m also wishing my bank account would stop looking so darn empty despite all the work I’ve done/am getting. Getting paid can be a bitch when working freelance.

H O P I N G
My three visa applications in the next 3 months will go by smoothly and successfully.

W E A R I N G
High waist denims, a dark blue shirt that says je t’aime (so cliche) and my high cut chucks.

L O V I N G
My Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 which I’ve been using for 3 weeks straight now, it’s so convenient to bring around and do work on.

W A N T I N G
A lap desk, scented candles and a new chalkboard. And to finally buy a MacBook Pro. I want it so bad it hurts.

N E E D I N G
An out of town trip somewhere new, somewhere cool, somewhere where the summer heat is bearable.

F E E L I N G
Anxious about the upcoming visa interviews I need to go through.

C L I C K I N G
Setting up my email accounts and other useful apps on my tablet

Happy end of the week, you guys! I can’t believe we’re more than halfway through April. This year is going by so darn fast it’s really freaking me out? I mean I know this is something that’s said every year but this year you really feel it. I need a pause button. I feel like I’ll wake up tomorrow and it’ll be July and I haven’t set up my visa interviews because I don’t have any of my documents ready and then I’ll wake up the day after that and it’s the end of October and my Eurotrip is over in a snap — I may or may not just have unearthed a new fear of mine: the fear of time. Oy vey.

That Travel Writing book has intrigued me in your previous posts. I might wanna check it out soon. Hoping your visas get approved smoothly. And if time and schedule permits, send a shoutout for London peeps, will be happy to meet you guys!

P.s. euro tax is insane at 20%ish, but at least you get what you pay for i guess, unlike in pinas =/

Wow, Ate Camie! Three visa applications? UK, Europe and what’s the other country you’re heading? Good luck with your visa applications, I hope you get it. :D

I’m attempting to get a U.S. visa for a possible visit to Guam in June :)

Good luck on the interview! :) May I ask what other freelance job do you do? Thanks Camie.

Thanks Alissa! Right now it’s really all blog/social media work. There’s heaps and that’s great because it doesn’t feel like work (since the brands I work with are the ones I like/support/are relevant to readers) but it’s the getting paid part that’s a bitch :(

Whether you’re a corporate drone (like me) or a freelancer, taxes really are a huge pain in the butt, especially when our country’s government is so corrupt. Le sigh. I hope you get paid soon, and good luck with your VISA applications. :)

I HATE PAYING TAXES aka lining greedy politicians’ pockets. :(

SM Home has lap desks! Joey was going to get me one but he ended up buying me Kinfolk instead hahaha. The lap desk was cheaper, around 700PHP, I think.
