A few weeks ago, I received an invite from Rakso Travel to join them on their trip to Jeju Island, South Korea. Of course, without hesitation, I said yes! Who would ever want to pass up a travel opportunity? I’ve read about Jeju Island on my friend Chester’s blog and that sneak peak got me all the more excited to go. You have no idea how much I wanted a remote control for life, to press fast forward so we’d get to the day of departure itself. Alas, like everyone else, I had to wait — but that wait is over! In approximately four days, I’ll be boarding our Philippine Airlines flight to Jeju! Ahhh, how generous the Universe is being lately. <3
Jeju is an island in the lower part of South Korea, it’s one of their nine provinces most frequented as a summer getaway by the Koreans and the Japanese, and is also known as “The Island of the Gods” which was a name given by the locals taking after a legend that tells the story of demi-gods that lived on the island.
The great part about this island aside from its majestic views? It’s visa-free! Yay! Another visa-free place to add to your travel bucket list and visit!
I tried to do a little research on Jeju, but only enough to get a bit of an idea of what the island has to offer. I didn’t want to do an extensive research because our packaged tour with Rakso Travel could only cover so much ground in 4 days. So far, I’m pretty darn excited over the beautiful landscapes and scenic views! I’m also really appreciate marine life, and they apparently have an aquarium that we can check out!!!! (can you sense my excitement?!)
I also took the liberty of checking Flickr user photos of Jeju Island, and dear lord just marvel at that beauty, will you?
Thanks, Rakso Travel for this opportunity!
